Scott slams SNP slogan

12.49.09pm GMT Wed 17th Jan 2007

Tavish Scott MSP

Liberal Democrat MSP Tavish Scott has slammed the new SNP slogan "1707 no right to choose - 2007 the right to choose".

Mr Scott said:

"The people of Scotland have had the "right to choose" at 7 elections in 20 years. The SNP have lost the argument on separation every time and the polls suggest they are on course to lose it again."

"This May's elections will determine the shape of Scotland's schools and hospitals for at least the next four years. It is clear that when it comes to public services and tackling crime the SNP have nothing to offer."
