Susan Clark working for Dalry & West Kilbride

I am employed in social work. I began my career in Irvine and continued in Strathclyde. In the mid 1980's I moved to Fife. I lived in Cupar for eighteen years and for 14 of these I represented Cupar North ward on the District Council and then on Fife Council. I returned to Ayrshire to be near family.

In addition to being a Councillor I was a board member of Scottish Environmental Protection Agency. Environmental issues are a particular interest especially waste management including recycling and energy. I was privileged to visit many establishments with SEPA including power stations, paper mills, glass making and land fill. I want to see sustainable energy production and for us to leave our environment in better condition for forthcoming generations.

I am also passionate about the need for quality affordable housing and social services. These services can make the difference between a life of quality or existence.
